Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge Invites Applications for Next Cohort; Deadline Aug. 18
Baton Rouge, LA—The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA) of Baton Rouge is now accepting applications for its upcoming class of future business leaders. High school students with a curiosity for innovation and a drive to make a difference are encouraged to apply by Sunday, Aug. 18.
The academy, a dynamic after-school program, empowers students to transform their ideas into viable business ventures. Participants do not need a pre-existing business idea to join; the program is structured to guide them from concept to creation. Throughout the academic year, students will:
- Develop a Business Plan: Receive mentorship from local business leaders to craft a comprehensive business strategy.
- Pitch to Investors: Present their startup ideas to a panel of investors in a "Shark Tank"-style format, competing for seed funding to bring their ideas to life.
- Launch a Business: Complete the formal process of registering their businesses with the Louisiana Secretary of State’s Office.
- Earn College Credit: Qualify for college credits through a partnership with Louisiana State University (LSU), giving them a head start on their academic and professional journeys.
In addition to these core components, YEA offers students a unique opportunity to network with Baton Rouge’s business community, gain hands-on experience in entrepreneurship, and build a foundation for future success.
Interested students, parents, or educators looking to learn more about the program, apply, or refer a student can find detailed information on the Young Entrepreneurs Academy of Baton Rouge’s website at www.yeabr.org.
Don’t miss the chance to be part of this transformative experience—applications are due by Aug. 18.
