NEW ORLEANS - Jayden Daniels has officially solidified his future with the Washington Commanders. As the second overall pick in the NFL Draft, Daniels has agreed to terms on a substantial rookie contract with the team.

The contract, spanning four years, is valued at $37.75 million and is fully guaranteed, a significant commitment from the Commanders. The deal includes a substantial $24.3 million signing bonus, underscoring the team's confidence in Daniels' potential.

In a strategic move aimed at securing their investment, the contract includes a fifth-year option extending the agreement through 2028, providing stability and flexibility for the Commanders.

Daniels' signing marks a milestone as the highest-drafted player to formalize his contract in 2024, positioning him to pivotally impact the Commanders' upcoming season.

The Commanders are slated to face the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, Dec. 15, at 12 p.m., setting the stage for Daniels to begin his journey with the team in earnest.
